Can employees leave the scheme?

HMRC guidance suggests that employees can leave the scheme at any time. However, we ask that employees stay for a minimum of one month to avoid unnecessary administration.

 

From 5th October 2018, if an employee leaves the childcare voucher scheme they have to re-join within 52 weeks of leaving the scheme. If an employee leaves your employment, they cannot join their new employer's childcare voucher scheme. The only exception to this is if the employee is being transferred to their new employer under TUPE.
